This event will be limited to the first 200 lifters registered. Early deadline to register is Jan 13, 2018. Late entries will be until Jan 27 with a late registration fee of $150.00.
The 2018 USA Powerlifting Washington State Championship (wa-2018-01) will be held Feb 17, 2018 in Spokane, WA in conjunction with USA Powerlifting Youth Nationals AND USA Weightlifting Junior Nationals!! These events will span over three days. Youth Nationals will happen on Friday with our State Championship happening on Saturday (2-3 platform event) and USA Weightlifting happening over the entire weekend.

8am- Lifting begins (Awards will be given for the women at the end of their lifting session)

2pm- Lifting begins (Awards will be given for the men at the end of their lifting session)
Spectators Admission = TBA (Per USA Weightlifting)
Any USA Powerlifting member is eligible to compete in this event. You must reside in the state of Washington to be eligible to compete in this event. (If you are not a WA State resident, you may still lift as a quest lifter. You will not be eligible to receive an award). There are no pre-qualifications. All lifters will have the opportunity to set State and American records during this event. If you are new to USA Powerlifting, you can become a member at www.usapowerlifting.com.
Custom Awards: Awards will be given to 1st – 5th in each age and weigh division in powerlifting, bench press, and deadlift. Special awards will be given to best lifters and to teams.
There are Equipped and Raw divisons.
Raw Lifting: As of September 1, 2007 “Raw” lifting rules require all competitors to wear a regulation one piece non supportive lifting suit. Wrist wraps and belts are OK. Neoprene knee sleeves are OK. No other support gear is allowed. Only raw gear approved by USAPL is permitted. See www.USAPowerlifting.com
Drug Testing: You must be drug free for at least 36 months prior to the date of this meet to be eligible to compete. At least 10% of all lifters will be tested by urinalysis. Banned substances include but are not limited to anabolic steroids and growth hormones. The complete list of banned substances is available on the web site of the World Anti-Doping Agency (see www.WADA-ama.org).
Lifting Attire: All competitors must wear a one piece lifting suit or a wrestling singlet, shoes and a T-Shirt. All equipment must conform to USA Powerlifting rules. See www.USAPowerlifting.com for details.

Entry Fees: Power lifting (Squat, bench press and deadlift) = $95
Bench Press only = $95
Deadlift only = $95
Deadlift and bench press = $95
High School-Power lifting Only-$70 (you must be an active high school student or home schooled)
Team = $65…. 1st-5th place. All Teams must be registered with the USAPL.
Awards: 1st-5th in all weight classes and divisions for men and women.
All participants must have a current USAPL card or purchase one before the meet. All memberships expire 12/31 of the year you purchased them.
- Women: 43k (youth, teenage, jr only), 47k, 52k, 57k, 63k, 72k, 84k, 84k+
- Men: 53k (youth, teenage, jr only), 59k, 66k, 74k, 83k, 93k, 105k, 120k, 120+k
Open = Option for participants of any age. Mandatory for those age 24-39
Military (compete in open or any age groups)
Special Olympic: Must be a member of Special Olympics
Disabled Lifters (USA Powerlifting only recognizes Blind lifters as qualifying for the disabled division)
Masters: Age: 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Age Groups: Youth 1 – 8-9, Youth 2 – 10-11, Youth 3 – 12-13, Teen 1 – 14-15, Teen 2 – 16-17, Teen 3 – 18-19, Junior – 20-23
Master age is based on calendar year, not birth date (for example, the year you turn 40).
You may enter more than one age division for an additional $25 per division.
